Hi,
There are many ways to crash firewalls in any OS, put a firewall-1 in your best unix box, use a modem, let me use a T1, and then tell me about OS problems ...
If there is crack for 1.35, please post the full url, and tell me how it works ... "i saw" and "i heard" is no usefull to test nothing.
If you use ConSeal in Win9x (and even NT) probably ppl dont have a router, and if you just close the port, there is no need for IP filtering.
I use this firewall at home, on my win98 box for a year, and before in win95 for more then 1 year almost 2 or so ...
The best test is being channel operator in #firewall ... many ppl go there to flood ops, and try to kill the firewall. Many times they ask me to test me, and i'm say yes and just want to know what they are doing, for better understand any possible flaw, along with the logs.
I had test it too along with some workgroup that i was part of (brazilian by the way...), and i use to go to some known lame channels in irc networks for being a target.
If you still have doubts, please join #firewall or #rhino9 in Undernet, where i use to be (aka Bacano), and i'll be avaiable for you to test or try to crash me (at home i got a slow connection, its easy to crash me ...)
If any one say "i can crash you" i just say "be my guest" ... if you crash my box, you are helping me to get better protection, so .. any time you want my friend ;)
About what type of attacks, i suppose every known DoS, portscans, default ports, you name it ... if you got a new one, please let me know. I had made tests with the trial version, and at least with versions 1.2, 1.2.1, 1.3 and 1.35 in windows95 and 98.
As our friend is brazilian, i can say to him too that some of the best brazilian security professionals had test this with me, some like it, some dont. Brazilain bos-sec mailing list use to report tests about ConSeal i suppose. Some may be you know, like an op in undernet #hackphreak or a coder of CService bot ...
