 KISA (The Korea Information Security Agency) was established

 by the Framework Act on Informationization Promotion in April 1996

 under the Ministry of Information and Communication

 Our Mission is below this.

  0 The Korea Information Security Agency(KISA) is to contribute

    to the construction and promotion of information society by

    -  Develop policies and regulations

    -  R&D information security technologies

    -  Develop criteria and standardsthus, creating an order

       and safe environment for information society in Korea.




 "TWISTer", Information security trend service, is provided

 free of charge by Korea Information Security Agency.

 "TWISTer" which means Trend Watch for Information Security

 Technology has the major functions as follows.


 1. Ordinary Directory systems using general search engines

    features the SUMMARY D/B which gathers and stores related

    information, through the Internet, rather than information

    security trend service. TWISTer, however, provides D/B

    including  original kind of source files attached.

    (ex ; ppt, doc, pdf, ps, zip, tar, txt etc.)

 2. Compared with other high charged D/B systems, TWISTer offers

    information with good quality free of charge.

 3. Search Field

    While other international systems now available through the

    Internet search only web sites, TWISTer searches WWW, NNTP,

    FTP, PC comm. BBS  original papers, and provides high

    qualified information.

    TWISTer is also designed to gather valuable reports,

    papers, presentation materials, and so on, and provided users

    with it.

 4. Language

    Default language is Korean and English, and translated Japanese

    information is also available.

 5. PUSH/PULL Service

    Users who select interesting areas for TWISTer service will be

    offered with concerned inforamtion by E-mail periodically.

    (In case users select interesting areas from the TWISTer

     main  homepage )

 6. Information security E-zine Service

    TWISTer offers up-to-date electronic magazines everyday,

    which is related to information security areas in detail.

    TWISTer can be of an assistance for every information security

    related developers, managers, and users.
