About Me

I am a husband, father of 5, a Free Scholar in the Academie d'Espee (a rapier academy in Kingdom of Atlantia, in the SCA).

Professionally, I am a "Principle" Research Engineer for Sourcefire, where I am the primary author for the world's most widely used intrusion detection rule-sets. I have worked on several Snort books and I am the member of The Shmoo Group and an alumni of The Honeynet Project.

I spend my free time with my family, writing code, and making pithy comments about the stupidity in the world around me.

I write a ton of code, and some of might be useful to other people. The stuff that I think might be useful to someone else that isn't "business criticial" is available here.
